Terms of Service

⚠ These terms are a working draft. A full Terms of Service document will be published prior to the public launch of Ring Fenced. By using the service during this period you agree to use it in good faith for its intended purpose.

1. About Ring Fenced

Ring Fenced ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered call screening service. By accessing or using Ring Fenced you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Ring Fenced provides an AI agent that screens incoming telephone calls on your behalf, assesses caller risk, and forwards or blocks calls according to your configuration.

The service is provided "as is" and may change or be discontinued at any time.

3. Not an emergency service

Ring Fenced must not be used as a substitute for emergency services. It is a call screening tool only. Do not rely on Ring Fenced in a life-threatening situation. Always maintain a direct, unscreened means of being contacted in an emergency.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use Ring Fenced to:

  • Screen or block calls for purposes that are illegal in your jurisdiction
  • Impersonate another individual or organisation
  • Interfere with the service or attempt to access other users' data
  • Violate the privacy or rights of callers beyond what is permitted by applicable law

5. Recording and transcription

Ring Fenced records and transcribes calls for the purpose of screening. Callers are notified of this. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of call recording is lawful in your jurisdiction.

6. AI accuracy

AI risk scoring is probabilistic and not guaranteed to be accurate. You must not rely solely on Ring Fenced to identify fraudulent or dangerous callers. Always exercise your own judgement when reviewing call logs.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ring Fenced is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the service, including (without limitation) any harm resulting from a missed, forwarded, or blocked call.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
